In August 2017 I undertook a 1.000+ km solo bicycle trip spanning the length of Germany from the mountains in the south of Germany to my hometown Flensburg and the flat lands at the northern end of Germany.
The name 'Expedition1000GER' described the goal of the challenge to cycle the approximate length of Germany (1.000km) and explore places alongside this path. However, it is more than just a bicycle trip.
After traveling four continents and 30 countries over the last decade I decided to explore more places in his home country. Furthermore, I wanted to find out more about his physical and mental boundaries and push them to a next level. The entire trip was self-supported and the travel budget had been kept to a minimum. The goal of this challenge was to pedal the entire distance in about two weeks. This travel challenge was also used to raise funds for charity. 250 Euro were raised for Doctors without Borders throughout Expedition1000GER. Visit the blog to read the full story. |
